Job status: Permanent, office - based (hybrid working available after the probation period)
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: 40h/ per week, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (1h unpaid lunch)

Who You'll Be Working for:

This is an exciting time to join our client, they are in an exciting period of growth. In this role you will be responsible for executing the purchasing and inventory management of products in order to meet customer requirements. In this role you will be communicating with both Japanese and European suppliers so having both English and Japanese Language skills are essential for this role.

Japanese Speaking Supply Chain Planner - Your main responsibilities:

  • Analyse and review item demand on weekly basis to identify changes, reflect any changes to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained, avoiding out of stocks or overstocks
  • Create purchase orders for current and forecast demand
  • Production planning to meet customer demand, raising works orders
  • Liaise with vendors and transportation partners to determine ideal scheduling and timelines
  • Maintain ERP system Master data to ensure all data is kept as up to date
  • Maintain inventory levels across multiple third-party warehouses, ensuring optimum inventory level s at each location.
  • Monitor packaging supplies are maintained for all items
  • Administrate documentation from suppliers and freight forwarders internationally, to facilitate customs clearance and legal compliance.
  • Receipt of goods and build the work orders once the goods are delivered to warehouse.
  • Supporting in all new supply chain projects, involvement in all aspects of project roll out

**Japanese Speaking Supply Chain Planner - The skills you require in order to be successful:

  • Fluent in English and Japanese, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in a supply chain/purchasing or logistic department.
  • Office administration experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems. (Desirably NetSuite, but not essential)
  • Understanding of import and export requirements - good to have but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
