Continuous Improvement Officer

Our client, based in Ashton Vale, Bristol are in a period of expansion and are looking to add a new Continuous Improvement Officer to their expanding team.

You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to Production Staff for the relevant functions on site.

Main Responsibilities

  • Liaise with suppliers on all quality related issues
  • Communicate QHSE expectations throughout the site
  • Interact with internal departments to maintain product supply and introduction of new products
  • Manage and develop support staff
  • Participate in activities on all new or changed products
  • Keep updated quality related documentation
  • Carry out internal audits of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems
  • Ensure H&S risk assessments are conducted and all actions completed in a timely manner
  • Assist in the development of consistent processes for data collection and preparation and reporting of KPIs that support our objectives
  • Attend training and develop your own knowledge and skills

Candidates skills required

  • Good communication (the role includes speaking with Customers directly)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Administration skills
  • Ability to operate at strategic and site level
  • Ability to make tough decisions and deal with complex situations
  • Ability to motivate staff to achieve measurable results
  • Understanding of ISO and H&S Legislation

The salary for this role is circa £30,000 per annum. Candidates are invited to apply today for immediate consideration.

The working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm but can be flexible to suit your requirements.

While full training will be provided for the role, the successful candidate will need to discuss their administration experience, management / supervisor experience and how they have completed quality checks on previous products.
