Customer Service/Sales Team Leader

Salary - £28,900 plus Annual Bonus of £5400
Location - Cumbernauld

Job Description

To manage and develop the Regional & Hospitality sector to achieve targeted sales growth whilst ensuring that the highest level of customer service and support are always provided, in line with the Sales Desk Quality Manual. To deputise in the absence of the Sales office Manager and take on additional duties

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve Regional & Hospitality sector Sales and Margin Targets
  • Team member 121's
  • Support team and wider office Training and development, including organising supplier training sessions
  • Supporting new starter induction
  • Dealing with escalated complaints
  • Motivate the team & uphold our values
  • Recognise great performance in others
  • Dealing with poor performance
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and service levels
  • Respond to Credit Control Side Notes within 48 hours of receiving them
  • Support SOM to recruit, induct, train, and retain staff of the required number and calibre
  • Continuously assess staff against identified performance criteria and address issues of performance and conduct by applying my clients HR policies.
  • Ensure all training requirements are met and regularly reviewed.
  • Develop and implement sales plan that is focussed upon retaining and expanding business levels in Regional & Hospitality sector
  • Ensure targets are clearly understood by the team and met on a consistent basis.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Sector head and NAM's / NAE's in order to ensure effective co-ordination of sales activities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all procedures set out in the sales desk quality manual
  • Ensure that customer orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure speedy and effective resolution to customer queries.
  • Continually seek to improve communications between internal functions to achieve highest levels of customer service.
  • Manage staff with due regard to health and well-being at work
  • Absence management

Experience Needed

  • Previous experience of leading a team
  • Experience in achieving targets
  • 121 and absence management
  • Worked in a Sales environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload
