PROTECTION UNDERWRITER
12 month FTC
Salary: Up to £42,000
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Birmingham office
Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently seeking a Protection Underwriter to join a well-established Financial Services firm. As a Protection Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing protection applications to determine the level of risk and make recommendations for coverage. You will work closely with clients to ensure that policies are tailored to their specific needs.
Responsibilities Included:
- Evaluate and assess protection applications to determine risk and coverage
- Take ownership and be accountable for customer underwriting enquiries, playing a major part in how our customers perceive our service, image and the overall customer experience
- Analyse complex financial and medical information to make underwriting decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure policies are accurate and up-to-date
- Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and clients
Skills and Attributes:
- Previous Income Protection, Medical or Life Assurance underwriting experience
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with underwriting protection policies / applications
