Your new company is a well-established organisation based in the heart of Narberth. My client is looking for a proactive individual to join their team as a Project Officer. They are on the lookout for an individual who possesses a full driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle.

Your new role
Your new role as Project Officer is a varied role which will require you to support communities in the local county who are ready to develop a community cooperative or social enterprise to ensure that local assets are not lost to the community. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: working with local partners to understand the geography, demography, assets and challenges in the area, building effective relationships with communities, strategic partners and working closely with the project manager. You will also be responsible for providing ongoing support to emerging businesses and community enterprise leaders, supporting the creation of a new network of community-led assets across the county, planning and delivering promotional activity for the project and attending appropriate training courses, workshops, seminars and other conferences to meet identified needs.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be an individual who has experience of working on projects and has knowledge of strategic context. They will be an individual who is able to work on their own initiative and be confident in an environment where they will be expected to perform public speaking. They must be a reliable and well-organised individual who is flexible. The successful candidate will also be prepared to undertake a basic DBS check and possess a current full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

What you'll get in return
IN return, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,400 (FTE). This vacancy is for a fixed-term contract until the 31st December 2024. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9-5. You will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 60% in the office. The organisation offers holiday entitlement of 25 days plus Bank Holidays and a generous pension scheme. There is also free parking on site.
