HR Manager

Role requires weekly visit to London office, based in High Ongar

Support Owners/Directors and Senior Manages in all employee relation activities, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management. Meeting preparation through to advising and leading meetings in line with employment legislation and company policy, where appropriate.

To assist with all elements of recruitment including building recruitment and advertisements campaigns, in conjunction with hiring manager, creating job specifications, initial CV sifting, arranging and attending interviews where required.

Manage the entire employee life-cycling process, including onboarding, promotions, off boarding, etc Maintain and update private & confidential personnel files, adjust employee benefit policies accordingly ensuring that GDPR compliance and retention policy is adhered to.

Ensure that employee records, including holiday, sickness and right to work are maintained and updated on employee portal (Atlas)

Diarise and track any performance review dates required, ensuring these are booked in with appropriate staff members calendars (induction reviews, probation reviews, performance improvement reviews etc), updating relevant records where appropriate.

Sensitively liaise with members of staff across all departments when required to assist in resolving any internal issues, obtaining guidance from HR director. When assisting with staff concerns ensure the matter is professionally dealt with and the employee is listened to. Responsible for identifying if escalation is required.

TUPE requirements or contract terminations if required.

Manage the training needs of the business by compiling analysis from yearly training matrix documents completed by line managers at staff appraisals, highlight training needs to SLT for review and sanction.

Responsible for running year end process for annual leave holiday calendar on employee portal, run at the beginning of each new calendar year.

  • Annual review of standard terms of contracts with external HR/Legal advice team ensuring that new contracts are issued where there is a requirement due to legislation change
  • Review reminders to check spreadsheet for any expiring documents
  • Ensure any role review, promotion or salary adjustment is recorded and logged in personnel files
