We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a young person with Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and autism. This role involves supporting the individual in the community, attending activities, and providing personal care. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Accompanying the young person to various activities within the community, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assisting with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Engaging with the young person to foster a positive, supportive relationship.
  • Monitoring and supporting the young person's well-being and development.
  • Adapting to the needs of the young person and providing tailored support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a similar role in the UK, supporting individuals with GDD and autism.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with developmental delays and autism.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the care and well-being of young people.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to support work.
