Mechanical Design Engineer
(Would suit someone from a regulated industry background)

- Work arrangements: 2 or 3 days on site so pretty flexible
Day to Day of the role:
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team to produce and update 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings.
- Support build and test activities, including hands-on tasks where appropriate.
- Participate in product development activities, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interface with in-house colleagues, suppliers, and customers to communicate engineering concepts and designs.
- Deliver work packages to a defined standard, budget, and timescale, managing internal/external resources if necessary.
- Engage in customer visits, technical meetings, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Projects, Procurement, and Quality teams.
- Ensure adherence to Engineering policies, safety standards, and testing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Strong command of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in engineering computer-aided design and analysis tools, configuration management systems, and ERP tools.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modelling package is desirable.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, high-pressure oil and gas sealing technologies, and PDM software is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
- Willingness to travel worldwide to support business activities.
- Eligibility to obtain UK SC clearance.
