Careers Advisor
- Reports to: Careers Team Leader
- Location: Newbury
- Salary: £28,000 FTE
- Type: Part-time (3 days a week)
Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Newbury.
The successful candidate must be able to start ASAP!
Main Duties
- Offering excellent career guidance, counselling, and information to students.
- Managing the career resources in collaboration with the Employer Services team.
- Researching and sharing up-to-date reports on local and national job opportunities, as well as market trends, to keep students and staff informed.
- Providing both drop-in and appointment-based career support services for students.
- Training staff on university applications (UCAS), employability skills, and current career information and advice.
- Organizing workshops on apprenticeship career paths.
Requirements
- Able to start ASAP
- Experience working in a similar role
- Excellent IT skills
- Commitment to improving the lives of young people
- Able to pass a DBS check
- No previous convictions
