Veterinary Technical Product Support Advisor

Reporting to the Companion Animal TPS Veterinary Advisor Lead, with dotted line reporting to the Companion Animal Technical Team Lead, this full-time role is responsible for providing specialist veterinary expertise on all aspects of the Company's companion animal products to support customers calling and emailing the UK Vet Support team. Emphasis with this role will be towards customer support and implementation of the technical strategy. Our client is located in Milton Keynes and the role is a home-based position with occasional travel. This role is initially a 6 month temporary role with a possible extension and offers an hourly rate of £18.73 - £31.84 per hour, depending on experience.

Our client is ideally looking for a Qualified Vet for this role and candidates must have experience of working with Animals.

Responsibilities:

Technical Product Support (TPS, approx. 90% of time)

  • As an Animal Health Veterinary Advisor, be responsible for our customers' perception of the technical team as the experts in the market areas in which we participate. To service any small animal technical queries or complaints in order that the Company may provide a high quality, professional veterinary sales support for its products.
  • Manage technical enquiries that are forwarded from the TPS team in a timely manner and to their resolution.
  • Ensure all cases are entered on the CRM platform MAXX correctly.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Pharmacovigilance team.
  • Support the TPS VA lead to update and maintain the Knowledgebase information sharing site.
  • Be responsible for remaining compliant with the NOAH code of practice as well as pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Support the TPS team to ensure they remain compliant with requirements.
  • Support the TPS VA lead to develop and maintain the TPS team technical knowledge.
  • Identify ongoing technical training needs of the team.
  • Deliver comprehensive in-house technical training at various levels and time points as required to ensure that staff are correctly trained on the small animal products and markets as well as off label advice, where appropriate.
  • Maintain logs of training completed with the TPS team and feed-back to the TPS VA lead (and Companion Animal Technical Lead as required).
  • Participate in key business meetings as required.

Technical Team Support (approx. 10% of time)

  • Provide a Company technical representation at relevant meetings, congresses and exhibitions to promote the interests of the Company amongst key industry influencers and opinion makers enhancing the Brand profile in the industry.
  • Identify, build, and develop constructive relationships with team colleagues, across the AH business in the UK including but not limited to Technical Team, Sales & Marketing team and National Accounts.
  • Active contribution to technical meetings including feedback from TPS.
  • Identify relevant areas to train the wider technical (and sales) team and deliver this in a timely manner ensuring effective dissemination of technical expertise.
  • Hold responsibility for the technical accuracy, NOAH compliance and initial sign off of marketing campaigns and materials when necessary.
  • Support any challenge of perceived breaches of the NOAH code by one of our competitors and support our response to any incoming challenges.

In the fulfilment of these roles, it is expected that duties will require occasional attendance at evening meetings which may in some circumstances require overnight stays away from home.
