Electric Motor Repair Technician / Electrical Winder

Location: Yeovil, UK

Salary: Up to £32k (depending on experience)

Hours: 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch)

Due to Business growth, we have been requested to recruit an experienced Motor Repair Technician / Electrical Winders at their Yeovil site.

The role involves repairing, rewinding, and testing both AC and DC motors and components such as armatures, rotors, and stators. You'll operate on-site equipment including winding machines, core loss testers, burning out equipment, surge testers, and other test equipment. As an ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14001-2015 certified company, adherence to quality, environmental, and Health & Safety policies is essential.

Key Duties:

  • Perform production roles in the remanufacturing workshop.
  • Be flexible and undertake various tasks and roles as required.
  • Ensure accurate completion of company paperwork, including job cards, production tracking sheets, and QHSE documentation.
  • Maintain high personal standards and a structured, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Keep up-to-date with technical knowledge through educational workshops, training courses, and reviewing publications.
  • Produce high-quality work consistently and efficiently.
  • Share knowledge and experience with other technicians.

Requirements:

  • Experience in diagnostic testing, servicing, and rewinding of electrical components.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of QHSE Legislation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude towards work and company objectives.
  • Flexibility to undertake various tasks and roles.
