Job Title: Senior Support Worker

Role Summary:

The Senior Support Worker plays a pivotal role in our organization, providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Support Workers. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, promoting positive outcomes for service users, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of Support Workers

  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure workload distribution

  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members

  • Address team concerns and conflicts promptly

  • Service Delivery:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets individual service user needs

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans

  • Monitor and evaluate service user progress

  • Promote positive outcomes and quality of life for service users

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks to service users and staff

  • Implement appropriate risk management strategies

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service user care

  • Complete necessary documentation, including incident reports and care plans

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, and professionals

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders

  • Represent Halcyon Health & Social Care in a professional and positive manner

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Support Worker
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
