Marketing Manager

Business: The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce renewable electricity, heat and ReFood, a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms. The plants also recycle the food waste packaging. The plants provide an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.

The Position

Applications are invited for a Marketing Manager at our ReFood Ltd, Doncaster site, where you will be responsible for driving business growth by implementing and managing marketing strategies primarily aimed at the business to business (B2B) markets. The role involves working 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

As a Marketing Manager your duties and responsibilities will vary but will include:

  • Overall responsibility for Company's marketing and online presence through all channels, with creative campaigns to increase brand visibility, bringing business strategy to life and driving the business forward to increase our market share.
  • Develop and promote the company's activities across the industry and customer base.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all marketing, advertising & promotional activities.
  • Identify opportunities for sales campaigns and proactively represent the Company at various trade events and seminars, showcasing the ReFood brand and culture.
  • Develop strong relationships with all other teams in the business, specifically sales and customer service to ensure the marketing strategy aligns with business goals.
  • Drive digital marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders to understand product offering and target audience.
  • Ensuring the company's online presence meets the highest standards and drives the right results.
  • Demonstrating return on campaign investment in business growth and visibility.
  • Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, to evaluate stakeholder experience across multiple channels and touch points.
  • Ensuring all activities are undertaken in accordance with GDPR legislation.
  • Identify trends to optimize spend V performance.
  • Reviewing and comparing against competitor activity.
  • Managing and collaborating with external marketing & graphics partners.

The Person

  • Educated to degree level in Marketing, Business or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years Marketing Management experience within a similar role.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licenseand ability and willingness to travel, when required.
  • Experience in using and creating content, such as blogs, articles etc., for key social media platforms such as Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Instagram, Whats App and Facebook.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategy, and use of Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite or similar.
  • Extensive experience in the use of algorithms and SEM/SEO.
  • Experience of using Mailchimp, Hootsuite etc. is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and Video/Reel creation.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script and UX would be advantageous.
  • Experience of leading marketing projects from conception through to launch and analysis.
  • It is desirable to have an understanding of the Anaerobic Digestion process and the benefits of green energy and its byproducts.
  • Be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels of understanding and interest and be able to build strong working relationships through collaboration with others, both within and outside the business
  • Commercially focused with a strategic and creative mindset, committed to drive growth within the business through marketing and media channels.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and numerical skills – also must be proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure, be flexible, practical, and hard working with a strong work ethic, along with sound negotiating and influencing skills.
