Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Events Officer in the Barnet. The Events Officer is responsible for delivering this programme by proactively managing a forward plan of events, extending the reach and diversity of the programme and using ongoing learning to develop it in new directions and build in the flexibility to react to new initiatives.

Intro
The Culture and Sustainability team re situated within the Strategy and Innovation Directorate. The Culture team is made up of the Arts & Culture Manager and two officer posts that lead on the delivery of programmes, development of partnerships and projects. There are a number of events that are scheduled to take place from now onwards until March 2025.

About the Role

  • The Events Officer is responsible for delivering this programme by proactively managing a forward plan of events, extending the reach and diversity of the programme and using ongoing learning to develop it in new directions and build in the flexibility to react to new initiatives
  • You will have the right skills to support the delivery of the events programme with a strong and proven track record of programme and project management experience. Ideally this will be in an events context with knowledge and understanding of the voluntary sector. You will be highly organised, comfortable working under pressure and at pace while managing a varied workload to meet strict deadlines. You will also have the skills to efficiently develop processes and manage all admin associated with events, including budget tracking.
  • This is a high-profile role that will require you to work closely with elected members, community organisations and wider events management colleagues and partners. A strong team-working ethos is therefore key. You will have excellent communications skills, proactively keeping key stakeholders up to date, and ensure the events programme is properly publicised.
