We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a Middlesbrough School on a temporary basis for approximately 8 weeks.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for science and education to support their dynamic science department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
- Assist teachers during practical lessons and demonstrations.
- Ensure the safe and proper disposal of laboratory waste.
- Maintain and organise the science laboratories and prep rooms.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Support the development and implementation of health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- DBS on the update service is essential.
- Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
