Software Developer Apprentice

Responsibilities:

  • Working with different programming languages such as .Net, C#, Java, Python, C++ among others
  • Working on some of the largest, most complex and technically innovative programmes and projects for some of the most prestigious organisations in the world
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team and using your initiative for some of the most prestigious organisations

You will need the following skills:

  • An eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate requirements into technical actions

The following experience would also be beneficial:

  • An understanding of agile tools and techniques
  • The ability to understand areas for your own personal development and excellent communication skills
  • A "self-starter" who is open to learning new programming languages and tools quickly
  • Knowledge of specific technologies and methods within modern system development

Entry requirements:

  • 7 GCSEs total
  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
