P osition: Team Leader
Location: Newcastle and Gateshead
Job type: Permanent, full-time - 37.5hr per week - Agreed shift patterns with weekend working on a rota basis
Salary: £25,725 per annum + up to £2,600 through generous on-call payments, Mileage - 45p per mile for drivers / 20p per mile for cyclists, PLUS bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

The purpose of this role is to provide Team Leader support to customers and staffing teams within the service and to coach, mentor and provide best-practice observations of Support Workers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Care and support planning assessments and reviews.
  • Customer support using values-driven communication and engagement.
  • Coaching and mentoring Care & Support Workers.
  • Effective teamworking and communication.
  • Achieving and maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Accurate and timely recording and reporting.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need previous experience in a similar role and a background working with people in receipt of care or those with learning disabilities. You will have a proven track record of leading people along with a working understanding of care in the community and CQC.

You will be familiar with the implementation of outcomes-led support with a proven background in care and support planning assessment processes that focus on the strengths of individuals and community assets. You will be driven to support people to be as independent as they can be, building, maintaining and drawing on their networks of support.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, ideally with experience in leading, coaching and mentoring others in care and support settings or health and care tasks.

You must have a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
