Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing
We are currently recruiting for an award-winning social housing contractor who specialise in who are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor into their team.
This position will be based at their Hemel Hempstead office - on a flexible hybrid-working model. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, with the estimation that this position would allow for 2-3 days working from home/week.
The salary on offer is up to £70,000 depending on experience
Your responsibilities will include
- Maximising the successful operation and commercial control of projects
- Managing costs for materials, labour and sub-contractors across multiple projects
- Taking responsibility for commercial reporting on assigned contracts, including forecasting and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
- Meeting and liaising with clients to determine their needs, discussing any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
Ideal Skills and Experience
- Experience working with direct labour delivery models.
- Experience in a commercial role within the social housing sector
- A good level of knowledge and understanding of measurement and valuation
- Overall strong commercial skills and capability
- Prior experience with refurbishment and refresh projects
- Experience in managing both internal and external customer relationships
- Ability to handle simultaneous commercial support across multiple projects
