Credit Control Manager

We are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Control manager for our established busy and growing company based in Swindon.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the credit control process for the Group.
  • This role involves managing the credit control team, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, minimising credit risk, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing credit control policies and procedures to improve cash flow and reduce bad debts.
  • Develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and review outstanding debts, ensuring timely collection and minimising overdue accounts.
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to assess creditworthiness.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients to resolve outstanding debts.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on credit control performance to senior management.
  • Manage Credit Control's involvement in the annual financial audit.

Experience

  • Proven experience in credit control, with demonstrable experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using credit control software and Microsoft Office applications.
