Long - Term teachers are working with a secondary school, that provides an inclusive and nurturing approach to their learning. As of September, they are seeking a part time science teacher, who is able to teach to Key stage 4 students, who are currently studying for their GCSE's.
About the role:
Students attending the school have been medically signed off from mainstream school, within the classroom you will be supported by experienced TA's who will be able to support the students individual needs.
You will be planning and delivering all sciences to students, it is essential that you have strong knowledge of the curriculum and have previously taught GCSE content. The headteacher is seeking an applicant who can bring enthusiasm, dedicated and a patient approach to the role. It is important you can easily build rapports with not just students but your peers, a role model, to inspire others!
You will be expected to work up to 3 days a week, however we are flexible of days, schools hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only.
About you:
- Knowledge of science curriculum
- Knowledge of SEN
- Ability to manage the classroom effectively
- QTS is essential, however will consider non - qualified with excellent experience and knowledge
- Patient, caring and positive
- Great sense of humour
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
