Reed Education is seeking Teaching Assistants for flexible and varied roles within leading primary schools across Maidstone, Medway, and the surrounding areas. Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the main class teacher in planning and delivering effective lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 classes.
- Support students in their learning journey, ensuring they are fully engaged and motivated.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
- Adapt and evolve lesson content to best support students who require additional assistance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a larger team's efforts.
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- A love of play and learning, with a willingness to engage with students at their level.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in a care environment or as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
- Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
- DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one through Reed.
- Level 2 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
