Reed Education is seeking Teaching Assistants for flexible and varied roles within leading primary schools across Maidstone, Medway, and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and eager to support student success in a dynamic classroom setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the main class teacher in planning and delivering effective lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 classes.
  • Support students in their learning journey, ensuring they are fully engaged and motivated.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Adapt and evolve lesson content to best support students who require additional assistance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a larger team's efforts.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • A love of play and learning, with a willingness to engage with students at their level.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a care environment or as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting.
  • Right to Work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one through Reed.
  • Level 2 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
