We are an expanding supplier to the hospitality industry and require a hard working, motivated new member of staff to assist with supplying our customers across the UK and beyond.
If you have supervisory experience and would like to join an established organisation then you should consider this role for an Assistant Warehouse Manager. Alternatively this position may suit a college/university leaver looking to start their career.
Some of your duties will include:
- Working with the Warehouse Manager to cordinate both goods in and out
- Supervising up to 12 members of warehouse staff and a team of delivery drivers
- Motivating the team, delegating daily duties and encouraging team work
- Maintaining accurate stock control, warehouse tidiness and bringing fresh ideas
- Utilising the space available in the Warehouse efficiently
- Must be PC literate (Microsoft applications) and preferably have a fork lift licence (counter balance and/or reach truck)
- Driving licence would be useful but not essential for the role
- Knowledge of H&S a distinct advantage (full training given)
- Good at working under pressure and have good communication skills, but most of all the ability to lead by example
- Must be physically fit as some manual tasks will be required
The role is Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime available on occasions.
