Our client is on the hunt for an enthusiastic and confident Database Engineer to join their Analytics team. This role is pivotal in planning, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases to ensure the efficiency of reporting functions. Being part of a small team with access to rich data sources will provide the opportunity to create and improve processes to meet the new and exciting changes of a growing healthcare company. The ideal candidate will be passionate about all aspects of data management which will underpin our focus on achieving excellence.

What you'll do:

As a Database Engineer, your primary responsibility will be managing the Data warehouse predominantly using SSIS/T-SQL. You'll act as a gatekeeper & maintainer of our data ecosystem while creating, developing and maintaining SQL Server systems and processes ensuring optimisation and stability. Your role will also involve developing and maintaining SSIS packages for task automation. You'll define database schema, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures & triggers. Testing database processes and performing bug fixes will be part of your daily tasks. You'll write complex SQL scripts from across multiple data sources. You'll assist in the migration, optimisation and cleaning of data while ensuring data compliance with GDPR & other relevant regulations.

What you bring:

The ideal Database Engineer candidate brings extensive experience with Microsoft tech stack including SSIS/SSMS. They have a passion and aptitude for database development and new technologies. They possess strong troubleshooting skills and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment often under pressure. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Advanced is required.

The role is offering a salary of up to £45,000 in addition to a range of benefits that include a comoany wide bonus up to 10%, hybrid working (3 days in office per week) and flexible working hours.
