Finance Systems Analyst

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Analyst to support a large international business with their implementation and on-going maintenance for their ERP systems across group. The role focuses on supporting business as usual queries, optimising the use/adoption of ERP functionality within business units, and integrating newly acquired businesses into the existing ERP system.

Although this role is systems-focused, success requires a strong interest in how systems can be best applied in business and finance contexts. The successful candidate will build and maintain collaborative relationships with key finance and operational staff, demonstrating strong organisational, systems, and process skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Objectives

  • Ensure the core model functionality of the ERP system are understood and correctly adopted by the business units in line with the company's management philosophy.
  • Develop a plan to identify additional ERP functionality that can optimise business operations and execute that plan.
  • Support ERP system integration's.
  • Promote best practices for internal control within financial systems and ensure master data integrity.
  • Increase knowledge and awareness of ERP functionality by organising and supporting super user meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist business units in further automating/digitising processes via the ERP system

Responsibilities and Accountability's

Business Expert

  • Primary contact for ERP system queries and updates.
  • Assess unit-level needs, recommending relevant ERP reports and features.
  • Identify and re-engineer business processes as needed.

ERP Development/Digitization/Automation

  • Identify additional ERP features (e.g., timesheets, expenses) for deployment.
  • On board and implement automation and digitisation initiatives.

Integrations

  • Support pre- and post-acquisition ERP integration's.
  • Document current processes to identify gaps; lead post-acquisition project phases.
  • Participate in gap analysis, user testing, training, and go-live support.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Promote ERP training resources; develop new materials as needed.
  • Facilitate a user group to share best practices.
  • Demonstrate company values.
