Role and Responsibilities:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement personalized learning plans and strategies.
  • Assist in the development of social skills, independence, and confidence in our students.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting your approach as necessary to meet individual needs.
  • Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a strong desire to make a difference.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new strategies and techniques.
