Page Personnel are recruiting for a Bookkeeper on behalf of a growing SME based in Trafford.
The purpose of this role will be to oversee the day to day accounting of the company and liaise with the external accountant for management accounts.

We are working with a growing, specialist import and distribution business based in Trafford.
The business offers a long term, stable role overseeing all things finance working alongside the external accountant.
Over time the plan is for this role to take on all responsibilities as the company looks to bring the whole accounting process internal.
Description
Bookkeeper duties will include:
Sales Ledger
Raise Sales Invoices
Raise Credit Notes
Credit Control - chase debtors as and when necessary
Create/edit customer profiles as and when required
Run credit checks on potential new customers decide on credit limits
Purchase Ledger
Post all purchase invoices
Create/edit supplier profiles as and when required
Create payment runs each month
Process payments when pay run authorised.
Reconcile purchase invoices with sales invoices for cost of sales purchases
Cash Book
Monthly Bank Reconciliations
Weekly Update cash books
Post Sales ledger receipts to Sales Ledger
Post Purchase ledger payments to Sales Ledger
Post other payments e.g. Salaries and PAYE, VAT
Month End procedures
Ensure Sales and Purchase ledger items have been posted to the accounting system
Posting journals for deferred income, depreciation, accruals, prepayments and payroll
Monthly bank reconciliation
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record in a similar role
- Be part qualified or studying (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
- Be proficient in MS Office including Outlook and Excel
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Be able to work to tight deadlines
