As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing specific projects, collaborating closely with our customers and manufacturing. You will ensure that designs are fit for purpose, provide recommendations to enhance products, and present all necessary information to kickstart the manufacturing process.

The Role
- Develop designs into 3D models and drawings.
- Design project-specific items for manufacture by our company and others.
- Review 3D models and drawings, supporting the engineering team.
- Prepare standard engineering documents and calculations using SolidWorks.
- Utilize SolidWorks PDM vault system for document and revision control.
- Coordinate with Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Operations Managers to meet project deadlines.
- Specify and source components, creating Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Produce General Arrangement Drawings and Design-for-Manufacture (DFM) detail models and drawings in line with customer requirements and company standards.
What will you bring to the role?
- Experience with SolidWorks is essential.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar is desired.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is essential.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
