We are now seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our team in Scotland on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will support a variety of investigations aimed at reducing major hazard events and increasing workplace safety.

Specifically, you will be involved in inspector-led workplace inspections, investigations of work-related incidents affecting workers and the public, health and safety related enforcement activity. You will also play a key role in activities designed to improve the management of workplace health and safety.

Working alone and alongside inspectors and specialists, you will gather intelligence about workplaces and make enquiries into reported incidents or concerns in order to help inform regulatory decisions.

Additionally, you will:

- Take voluntary witness statements
- Secure and process evidence and contribute to its proper management
- Visit workplaces to provide advice and identify matters of concern
- Attend court hearings to take notes and provide feedback or to give evidence

About You

To be considered as a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will need:

- The ability to review and capture pieces of information and identify significant findings
- Sound analytical skills
- A NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification or be willing to obtain this
- An English Language GCSE or a Scottish National 5 certificate (or equivalent) at grade C/grade 4 or above
- A full, valid driving licence

Please note, this role will involve regular travel and occasional stays away from home.
