In this role, you will be responsible for safely and sustainably managing both upstream and downstream processes, operating production equipment, optimizing fermentation processes, and ensuring product quality through routine analytical testing. You'll collaborate with a skilled manufacturing and scale-up team, focusing on scaling up precision fermentation processes
This role would suit a Production Supervisor or similar with food industry experience looking to join a innovative start-up in fermentation and enjoy clear progression to senior or management with comprehensive training.
The Role:
- Manage upstream and downstream processes safely and sustainably.
- Operate and optimize production equipment up to 6,000L capacity.
- Perform routine analytical testing and prepare fermentation media and fermenters.
The Person:
- Experienced within Biochemical engineering and bioprocessing, from small to large scale.
- Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and risk assessments.
- Master's or Ph.D. biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field, with microbiology knowledge
