About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for a Risk & Compliance Intelligence Manager to join the team. As the Risk & Compliance Intelligence Manager, you'll be supporting the second line of defence in structuring and analysing data to enable the function to identify insights that inform oversight and challenge activities.

This is a specialist role with the primary focus on the second line of defence's use of data to inform its oversight activities. You will be supporting the Risk & Compliance function to ensure HL uses data to discern insights which inform independent risk and compliance oversight.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading on the implementation of a knowledge management system across the function, enhancing corporate memory and ensuring that data and information is retained and stored in a structured fashion.
  • Owning the second-line's plan for data, you will lead and coordinate a squad of colleagues which provides the second line of defence with access to enhanced data capability and access.
  • Working closely with the Risk Reporting Team to bring improvements to the production of management information and reporting through efficient access to data.
  • Working closely with colleagues from across the function, you will lead on the collection, aggregation and analysis of data used for models such as, but not limited to, the risk maturity OKR.
  • Building relationships across multiple business functions, locations, and technical stakeholders to accomplish goals. You will help deliver the outcome by emphasising the importance of an evidence and data-based approach.
  • Assisting the second-line leadership team by building strong relationships with the Digital Data Governance and Data Insight teams. This will include working with Compliance and Data Governance SMEs to ensure there is appropriate oversight of HL's critical regulatory reporting data.
  • Actively contribute towards the delivery of functional risk maturity through ongoing risk management activities and delivery of the Compliance Transformation Plan.

About you

  • Previous experience in Risk and Compliance, with demonstrable experience of both risk management and regulatory frameworks (such as COSO / ISO).
  • Professional risk management, audit or accountancy qualifications are desirable.
  • Qualifications in data management and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of key performance indicator design and measurement.
  • Familiar working with appropriate tools and technologies, including but not limited to Excel.
  • An eloquent communicator and will have an ability to present information and data in an insightful, and easy to consume way.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview process, including competency-based questions and a presentation.

Working Schedule

The role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.
