Our client, global music digital rights/licensing organisation working with independent labels across the world is seeking a Junior Data Analyst. This rapidly growing business requires support to extract meaningful insights from royalty and usage data. This position is fully flexible.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the company's analytics platform and sources of analytics data.
  • Working across financial, royalty, and usage data to handle its collection, processing, and reconciliation.
  • Producing monthly analysis reports to the company's members, with regular examination and interpretation of data.
  • Assisting the Data Analytics team in updates of the internal Tableau dashboards to support the company's executives monitor business changes.
  • Supporting senior executives and relevant Analytics teams with the information needed to advance deal-making with ad hoc analysis.
  • Responding to internal and external queries regarding analytics.
  • Assisting in the development of the company's analytics platform.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data sets with the development and maintenance of tools and processes.
  • Maximising department process efficiencies with the use of Excel modelling techniques.

Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in Statistics or Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Management or a related field.
  • Robust working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL.
  • Adept at finding patterns in large data sets.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools is advantageous.
  • Previous experience as an Analyst or Data Scientist is desirable.
  • Possess a business mindset and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent analytical skills, organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and collaboration abilities.
  • Interest in the music industry.
  • Interest in technology trends.
