Must Haves:
- HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an estimating role
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and produce accurate material take-offs
- IT literate with good command of estimating tools or systems
- Experience in compiling bid information and producing quotations
Nice to Haves
- Experience in structural steel or fabrication-based projects
- Familiarity with industry-standard estimating or CAD software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
The Role
Our client has been established for over 60 years and a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Estimator to support the delivery of accurate and competitive quotations for a range of steelwork projects. You'll work closely with engineering and commercial teams to carry out material take-offs, interpret drawings, and contribute directly to the success of bids.
