Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for logistics and fine art? Our client is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage the transportation of high-end goods, both domestically and internationally. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with private collectors, galleries, auction houses, and artists, ensuring their valuable items are transported safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of domestic and international shipping for fine art and antiques
Liaise with overseas agents, private collectors, galleries, auction houses, artists, and transport companies
Guide clients through the shipping process, ensuring smooth logistics and compliance
Manage international shipments via air, sea, and road, with a primary focus on sea freight
Arrange customer collections and deliveries, including specialist packing services
Prepare and process all required documentation (bills of lading, customs clearance, labels, condition reports, and invoices)
Maintain comprehensive records within the freight management system
Assist in handling and managing key accounts
Manage multiple project files simultaneously, ensuring timely booking of services and cost management
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
Provide administrative support to the sales team and assist across the business as needed
Attend regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and improvements
Person Specification:
Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on responsibility
Strong attention to detail, highly literate and numerate
Good computing skills (proficient in Word and Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Personable, friendly, helpful, and positive approach to work
