About the Role:
GSL Education are actively seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at a client school in Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire. This role involves providing personalised support to a child with additional needs, ensuring their safety and welfare, and supporting their learning journey.

Main Purpose:
- To support a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
Main Accountabilities:
- Ensure the safety and welfare of the child.
- Support the child's learning in school.
Key Activities:
- Work with the child and school staff to access the curriculum.
- Create a rich and diverse programme.
- Assist the child in maintaining acceptable behaviour standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school staff to maintain the welfare of the child.
- Enable effective learning to take place.
Key Decisions:
- Take immediate action in line with school policies in the event of an emergency incident.
Behavioural Competencies:
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- The post is subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have prior experience in a support role within a school or a child-related setting.
- Exhibit a compassionate and professional attitude, with enthusiasm for assisting with personal care for students.
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Have legal right to work in the UK.
