Accounts Assistant

RG Consultancy are working with a well-established and nationally recognised retail business. We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join a growing medium sized finance department at their head office in Warrington. The role will suit an established Accounts Assistant or someone who is studying level 2 or 3 AAT and wishing to develop, training will be given.

The Role

  • To manage and maintain the purchase ledger function for the business
  • End to end purchase ledger, purchase ledger invoices and coding
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Process petty cash payments
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  • Prepare/monitor accruals and prepayments ready for review
  • Maintain and process company payroll, including HMRC payments
  • Prepare VAT reconciliations and submission
  • Other duties to provide cover and all-around support to the finance department as required

The Person

  • AAT Level 2 or 3 part qualified and studying
  • At least 2 years' experience in a Purchase Ledger or similar role
  • Experience using Kerridge/Drive would be an advantage but not essential
  • Driven and willing to learn more/desire to progress within an accounts/finance role
