PAYROLL ANALYST (6 month FTC)

Salary: £31,000 pro rata

Location: London

Duration: 6 month FTC to Perm

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to a dynamic team, providing critical insights and analysis to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.

What you'll do:

As a Payroll Analyst, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's payroll system. You will be responsible for processing new starters, managing DEAs/CMS, troubleshooting rota problems, calculating Tronc and service charges, processing pay adjustments, reconciling Court Orders deductions, loans and advances, creating SMP schedules, reconciling rota hours to payroll, processing terminations, and inputting absences. Your exceptional attention to detail will be key in maintaining accuracy across all these tasks.

  • Processing new starters onto payroll system
  • Managing DEAs/CMS and submitting monthly payments
  • Troubleshooting rota problems and queries from employees
  • Calculating Tronc and service charges
  • Processing pay adjustments and reconciling Court Orders deductions, loans and advances
  • Creating SMP schedules and processing them in Fourth/ Input paternity leave check SPP payments
  • Reconciling rota hours to payroll and processing terminations
  • Inputting absences in Fourth - check SSPP

What you bring:

The ideal Payroll Analyst candidate brings a minimum of one year's experience in payroll or pensions. A working knowledge of Fourth HR/Payroll software is essential. You should possess intermediate Excel skills including V/Xlookup, Pivot Tables, and spreadsheet building. A working knowledge of basic PAYE is also required. Your exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills will set you apart.

  • Minimum of 1 year payroll and/or pension experience
  • Working knowledge of Fourth HR/Payroll software is essential
  • Intermediate Excel skills; V/Xlookup, confident with Pivot Tables and spreadsheet building
  • Working knowledge of basic PAYE
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
