Income Officer Vacancy

We are currently recruiting for an Income Officer on a temporary basis for 3 months working for an outstanding organisation based in South London.
Location: Hybrid working, two days on site in South London
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm – with flexibility
Length: 3 months temporary with the possibility of extension
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers and colleagues, handling a wide range of income related calls and queries from residents
- Assist tenants to maximise their income and identify ways they can reduce arrears
- Work within a small team and liaise with other departments to provide effective housing management and support to tenants
- Prepare documents for court proceedings and attend relevant court proceedings and
- Develop and maintain good relationships with external agencies including Housing Benefit departments and relevant welfare agencies
- Proactively provide Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits advice to residents
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of working within a social housing setting dealing with income collection and recovery
- Available on short notice
