LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to join our partnered alternative provision based in Chesterfield, starting in September. The Safeguarding Officer will collaborate closely with the school's designated safeguarding leads, the safeguarding team, and all academy staff to ensure the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the safeguarding team to implement and uphold safeguarding policies.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support for pupils and staff, planning and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance, including the Prevent Duty.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver safeguarding training to academy staff.
  • Stay updated on personal development within the safeguarding sphere.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant and recent experience in a safeguarding-related role, particularly in handling Child Protection concerns and safeguarding vulnerable children.
  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and children who display challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.
  • Experience and training in managing safeguarding, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Desirable: Experience in social care and wider inclusion.
  • Must hold a full and clean UK driving license.
