Reed Talent Solutions are working with Cadent Gas on the search for Inventory Agent. A suitable candidate will have SAP S4 HANA experience in Inventory within Central Warehouse or Satellite Depots, someone who is used to Stock/Inventory by using Excel/Data.

  • Location: Cadent Distribution Centre,Off Bromford Gate, Bromford Lane, Erdington, Birmingham, B24 8DW
  • Contract: temporary ongoing, this could become a permanent position for the right candidate
  • Pay rate: £13.89 per hour
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week with 30 mins lunch. Daily working hours will be discussed at the interview

Functional Accountabilities:

  • Cadent Supply Chain teams look after the external costs and are responsible for the end-to-end supply chain ensuring goods and services are provided to the areas of the company that require them in the most efficient, safe, legal and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the creation and extension of material codes across all plants in Logistics (NDC & Secondary Depots)
  • Responsible for monitoring stock turnover ratio across all plants in Logistics and setting Re-order point/Min/Max levels accordingly.
  • Performing analysis on material usage at SKU level, advising and recommending where SKUs should be removed from stockkeeping.
  • Raising Purchase Orders to satisfy demand accordingly within defined parameters, managing orderbooks and expediting purchase orders with suppliers where necessary.
  • Owning Category's and managing supplier non-conformances through to resolution
  • Undertaking / managing key transactional processing activity for Supply Chain teams.
  • Production of Management Information and reporting, providing analysis and insight to support effective action planning and decision making.
  • Accountable for creation and review of reports and monthly trend analysis
  • As required, working with stakeholders to develop our suite of management information reports, ensuring they meet business needs, and the data is captured accurately.

Suitable Candidate will:

  • Possesses an understanding of the Supply Chain and Logistics processes, including the various buying channels and material distribution methods deployed by Cadent and other organisations.
  • Practical understanding of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
  • Ability to create structured reports using multiple channels for different audiences.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level, including the use of vlookup, PivotTables, and formulas.
  • Practical understanding of SAP S4 HANA (Inventory), procurement systems and WMS systems
  • Possesses personal organisation skills, including workload management and prioritisation.
  • A high level of verbal and numerical reasoning skills
  • Logistics / Supply Chain experience in a highly transactional/product related environment
  • Strong Query management / resolution skills
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Practical knowledge and experience of SAP S4 HANA - Training will be provided
  • Customer focused with a track record of delivering excellent customer experience.
