We are looking for a Technical Lead- Education Systems and Automation to join our team.
We're currently looking for a multi-faceted and innovative Technical Lead who will drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge educational technologies in support of our roadmaps for Pathways Education Systems (Classroom technologies, student identity etc), as well as providing technical ownership of the Automation capability across Pathways as a whole.
What you'll bring to the role
- Reasonable understanding of microservice design patterns, and domain driven design
- Strong problem solver, with proven experience working through problems to identify root causes
- Strong understanding of key AWS technologies and how to maximise their value for developer impact and operational effectiveness
- A background of successfully leading small development teams, ensuring effective, efficient and high-quality technical deliveries are the norm
- Strong written and visual communicator, able to create documentation, diagrams and presentations that quickly convey ideas and understand of technical concepts to wide audiences
- Strong experience with developing applications with PHP and Angular.
- Good understanding of databases - with an ability to understand and evolve data models, query databases with SQL, and have a reasonable understanding of concepts that impact the operation and efficiency of data stores
- Experience developing platforms that are robust, resilient and monitorable - ensuring that they can meet demands of customers
- Experience developing REST APIs, with a clear understanding of the best practices in building APIs
- Demonstrated capability of knowing when to think and when to act - with an overall bias for pragmatism and action
- Demonstrated experience in being agile and adaptable in your approach - with the clear ability to learn new technologies on a regular basis, and maintain an awareness
- Strong understanding of approaches to security, from securing data at rest through to role based authorization methods
