About Us: ANEW is a dynamic organisation based on the outskirts of Hitchin. We pride ourselves on our collaborative and supportive work environment, and we're seeking a dedicated and experienced bookkeeper/accounting technician to join our small, close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's accounts - purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control etc.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Handle VAT returns
- Compile year-end accounts and work with auditors review
- Execute other administrative duties
Qualifications and Skills:
- High degree of numeracy and accuracy
- Extensive knowledge of Sage software
- Knowledge of working with rebates would be an advantage
- Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Access is a plus
- An accounting qualification is desirable; however, Qualified by Experience candidates will be considered
- Familiarity with business improvement techniques
- Strong attention to detail
- Due to remote location, the ability to drive and access to a vehicle is essential

You should be adaptable, detail-orientated, and eager to engage in various administrative and accounting tasks. You will report directly to the CEO. Flexible to take on other duties as necessary.
