  • Categorise risk events as low/medium/high, as required, adopting proactive stances to intervene and propose solutions to enterprise-wide issues
  • Offer consultation to non-technical (i.e. non-Risk and/or non-Audit) departments to facilitate effective communication internally

To be successful in the role, applicants must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Substantial Audit and Risk experience from a related industry (banking preferred but adjacent sub-sectors considered)
  • Direct experience performing internal audit reviews within Risk, Audit, Operations environments
  • Confident interfacing with stakeholders individually and in broader meetings
  • Offer independent consultation and leadership to more junior members of staff
  • Identify key risk and control discrepancies and weaknesses, offering clear and defined roadmaps that can be both distributed internally, for the sake of adoption, and presented externally, for the sake of regulatory scrutinization
  • Ad hoc interfacing with external parties will be required, as such effective communication skills in both written and verbal mediums will be required
