The Opportunity

Urgently recruiting for a Maternity Cover HR Business Partner Education - Hastings and London until July 2025

An education provider is active in their search for a HR Business Partner Education for a maternity cover until July 2025

This role will be covering a site in Portsmouth and a site in Hastings.

The current HR Business Partner is based in London and travels to site when needed (on average twice a month) - this is fully expensed.

When not travelling to site, you will on site in West London two days a week (three days working from home)

The salary for this position is up to £60,000 (maximum) p/a plus benefits.

This will be a two-stage interview - first stage via teams and the second stage will be competency based and face to face.

Key Activities

  • Partner with the stakeholders for Hastings and Portsmouth to enable the effective development and implementation of People strategies, plans, and practices.
  • Support your region on all key People processes, providing guidance, coaching and constructive challenge when appropriate.
  • Support and/or lead project work.
  • Lead on local trade union consultations and negotiations.
  • Keep abreast of HR best practice, legislative changes, and new developments to continuously develop and improve knowledge and skills and broaden the understanding of inter-relationships between the range of human resources activities and functions.

Person specification

Experience at a HR Business Partner level is essential.

Strong experience working at a senior HR capacity including responsibilities for senior stakeholder management.

HR Industry experience in Education or public sector organisations essential

Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of HR best practice and a thorough understanding of the practical application of employment law.

Sound experience of managing and bringing to a successful conclusion complex ER matter.

Successful experience working collaboratively on change management initiatives and projects.
