Job Title: Technical Artworker
Industry Experience: Large Format / Retail Graphics / POS
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £30k-£35k
My client is an award-winning Large Format and Retail Graphics company based in the heart of Essex. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced Technical Artworker to join their busy and growing studio team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work with some of the worlds high end luxury brands producing retail solutions such as Point of Sale, in store graphics and many more.
Duties and responsibilities
- Create artwork layouts using supplied DXF cutter guides and assets, using mainly Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
- Create artwork information guidelines for production on site and clients.
- Create easy to use instruction guides for clients.
- Create artwork proofing documentation for production on site and clients.
- Log and record time spent on each project.
- Time management and planning workload with Head of Design.
Requirements:
- Experience setting large format files up for print.
- Understanding of large format digital printing processes.
- Ideally have retail graphics experience.
- Working in a fast-paced environment.
- Retouching experience beneficial.
- Ability to adapt new designs if needed.
- Be in a commutable distance from the Chelmsford area and ideally have a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Excellent level of knowledge using InDesign
- Excellent level of knowledge using Illustrator
- Excellent level of knowledge using Photoshop
- Excellent level of knowledge using Adobe Suite
- Good Word & Excel skills
- An understanding of CAD/DXF files would be an advantage, but not necessary.
