Job Description: They are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to manage both purchase ledger and sales ledger bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger:

Processing supplier invoices, expense forms, and payment requests.

Matching and checking purchase orders against invoices.

Resolving supplier queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.

Preparing and processing payment runs.

Sales Ledger:

Raising sales invoices and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Allocating receipts to customer accounts.

Chasing overdue accounts and managing debt recovery.

Reconciling customer accounts and handling related queries.

Bank Reconciliations:

Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.

Investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Ensuring all bank transactions are accurately recorded and classified.

Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role within an accounts department.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
