A rapidly expanding, successful group that encompasses all aspects of the meat trade is recruiting Despatch Operatives to join the night shift or mid shift at our site in Irlam, Manchester.

Role Overview
The purpose of this Despatch Operative role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects of the Despatch Department; tasks include:
- To organise and oversee the loading of the vehicles.
- To accurately record loading information.
- To separate customer orders into specific routes.
- To load customer orders ready for dispatch.
- To load and dispatch third-party collections and deliveries.
- To work efficiently and within required targets.
- To complete daily reporting to the Despatch Manager and Supervisor.
There is a considerable amount of manual handling and lifting required working in a refrigerated warehouse.

Additional Information
Days, working 5 from 7 days on a rota, 10.00-20.00 (Saturday working is 06.00-13.00).

Essential Skills
Communication skills are key for this Despatch Operative role, as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines.
You will also need to have:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- A good level of physical fitness.
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
No formal qualifications are required for this Despatch Operative role, and full training will be provided.
A forklift truck licence would be advantageous; however, not essential. If identified as an essential requirement, the training will be offered.
