We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor for a secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Lewisham. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with ADHD, managing challenging behaviour, and proven mentoring skills. This role is perfect for someone passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives.
You will be working as part of a team including tutors and other support staff, to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with Special Needs.
Requirements:
- Experience with ADHD and challenging behaviour
- Strong mentoring background
- Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal growth
The School:
- Secondary Pupil Referral Unit, catering for children who have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education.
- At KS3, most of the students prepare to return to mainstream education, they follow the National Curriculum modelled lessons.
- At KS4, students have the potential to go on to further education, apprenticeship or employment with 5-7 GCSE's or equivalent. They will also be equipped with the life skills required to make a positive impact in society.
