Tradewind is working with an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' primary school in Sutton, currently seeking an enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students in KS1 or KS2.
This popular 2-form entry school is dedicated to nurturing children with a range of abilities, including those with communication, interaction difficulties, and cognitive disorders.
**The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting pupils with ASD in a classroom setting.
**Key responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for an autistic pupil in KS1 or KS2.
- Create and lead intervention sessions for SEN groups.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Work in line with pupils' EHCP targets.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress.
**Requirements:
- Experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
- Strong understanding of supporting children with autism.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
- Your CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
