Supervising Social Worker-Fostering post approval-up to £42,620

NonStop Care are working with a well established local authority based in the East Midlands, who are looking for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering (post approval) Service.

This position offers the opportunity to work from home with only one day a week required in office, allowing you to manage your own caseload & diary, meaning you will create a fantastic work life balance.

This position allows you to work within a local authority that has achieved a Good Ofsted rating, meaning they provide high levels of diligence & aid to those under their care, which will ultimately increase your work satisfaction

Some responsibilities of this role;

  • The recruitment, assessment, approval, support and supervision of foster carers, including connected carers.
  • To prepare and present assessment for the fostering panel including Fostering Network.
  • Assessments, 'Family and Friends' assessment, Viability assessment and Foster carers' annual reviews.
  • To identify placements for children appropriate to their needs and ensure effective management and support plans are in place to support Carers and promote placement stability.
  • The identification, preparation and implementation of training for prospective and approved Carers in accordance with Carers professional development plans.
  • To enable on-going reflective supervision and to provide support to approved Foster carers, both prior, during and after placement to enable Foster Carers to develop their skills and practice.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Social Work & Social Work England registration
  • A drivers license
  • An up to date DBS check
  • Experience with & knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law and safeguarding issues.
