Robert Half are working with a business in the national infrastructure sector to recruit and IT Operations Manager on a permanent basis on their Luton site.
**Overview:
An experienced and dynamic IT Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure, Network and Service Desk teams. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient management and coordination of our IT services, as well as maintaining and improving our technology environment.
**Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

Lead and manage the IT Operations team, including infrastructure and service desk personnel.

Organize and streamline the team's workload, establishing a defined team structure with well-defined roles and responsibilities.

Service Management:
-
Implement and maintain IT service management policies to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices within the IT department.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with the Project Delivery team and third-party vendors to plan and coordinate major infrastructure upgrades.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Cloud Support:

Develop and maintain cloud support capabilities, ensuring robust and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Oversee the integration and management of cloud services to support business operations.

Cyber Security:

Oversee cyber security measures and ensure all required data protection and controls are in place.

Monitor and manage security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risks.

Operational Efficiency:

Continuously evaluate and improve IT operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Monitor system performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
**Qualifications:

Experience:

Strong experience managing IT operations within a medium or large organization, including infrastructure and service desk management.

Demonstrable experience contributing to IT infrastructure upgrade projects.

Proven experience in maintaining cyber security policies and controls.

Familiarity with implementing IT service management best practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Proficiency in cloud technologies and support capabilities.

In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles and practices.

Ability to develop and maintain IT service management policies.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP) are highly desirable.
